Liquid Treasures Single Malt Whisky is an independent bottling range of eSpirits Whisky in Germany. The company was founded over 10 yers ago and has already released a quite impressive selection of interesting and delicious whiskies. The autumn 2021 collection includes 8 single malt whiskies from all over Scotland, aptly titled the ‘Living World’ due to the stunning flora and fauna artwork on the bottles.
This Liquid Treasure Session No. 11 is a rum from Mauritius by Labourdonnais Distillery and was distilled in 2010. The spirits was matured in an ex-sherry refill butt for 10 years. It was then bottled at cask strength of 51.9% alcohol with no additives or sugar. Only 353 bottles of this single cask rum ever produced with only a small amount reaching Australia.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Floral with freshly cut grass and some faint smoke, stewed and roasted fruits and a touch of white pepper.
Palate: Floral grassy notes and soft peat combine with dark fruits and peppercorns.
Finish: Earthy and peaty with a long finish.
