Created by the team at Signatory Vintage this is an old, rare blended whisky presented in a 750ml bottle. The whisky used is mainly from undisclosed distilleries from Islay. Bottled at 43% abv.
The name hogshead is used to explain a barrel used in the whisky industry. The size of the barrel usually measures approximately 52 and a half imperial gallons (200 litres).
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Sweet fresh fruitiness, sea spray, white pepper, some camp fire smoke, dark chocolate and a hint of espresso.
Palate: Cucumber and watermelon, fruity with some oak and salted caramel and licorice.
Finish: Sweet caramel, bitter dark chocolate, smoky and slightly herbal.
