Hazelburn is one of three styles of whisky created at the Springbank Distillery in the Campbeltown whisky region of Scotland on Scotland’s West Coast. Hazelburn whisky is triple distilled and unpeated which allows the Springbank Distillery to create a spirit that is light, fruity and subtle.
This whisky is a small batch release single malt from the Hazelburn range and it has been matured for 13 years in ex-Oloroso Sherry casks.
Distilled in October 2003 and bottled in March 2017 at 47.1% abv.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Raisins and burn sugar, sticky toffee pudding and pencil shavings.
Palate: Mother’s strawberry jam with scones and cream. Peppered strawberries in a brandy snap basket. White chocolate cigars.
Finish: Coffee and dark chocolate, citrus zest, tasted barley, melted butter and marmalade.
