Not sure. Smell and opening tastes very nice and smooth. Confused about the finish though, as it had an overpowering taste of must or mildew on the back end. Not sure if this is a bad bottle or not. Due to the overwhelming positive reviews I may order another bottle and give it one more try. Wonder if anyone else has had this experience. Definitely a disappointment though. I did report it to Caskers. My bottle came in fully sealed. Maybe it was just a bad batch?

I picked up two bottles of Red Breast 27 year old on recommendation of my store manager. We discussed the 20 year old and 15 year olds at length. He had recently had sampled Louis Xlll cognac and compared the complexities of both as being very similar. I have to agree a poor man’s Louis Xlll cognac at 1/10 the price.

I’m not kidding when I say 5 of us were all very excited to try this, being huge redbreast fans, and we all had the exact same reaction to the finish, it tastes like green onions. I didn’t say a word waiting to see if anyone else noticed, but we all said the same. Stick with the excellent other redbreast choices.
