Bimber distillery was established in 2005 by Dariusz Plazewski in an industrial area in North Acton, west London. The name Bimber is taken from the Polish word for moonshine. The distillery is extremely well known in the whisky industry for having some of the most delicious and high quality spirit. Their ageing program and cask selection is some of the best in the industry and has already earned them multiple awards and recognition. Some of the bottles released in Europe are highly collectable with returns of of 2000%. This Micro-Distillery is quickly making a mark in the Whiskey community being recognised by Whisky Magazine as Craft Producer of the Year 2020.
We will be joined by Matt McKay. Matt is currently the editorial lead of a well known whisky website called Dramble, Matt currently pens most of the content on the site. He is also a Chartered Public Relations Practitioner by training, though is now working full-time in the whisky industry as Director of Whisky Creation and Outreach for Dunphail Distillery and Director of Marketing and Communications for Bimber Distillery. Matt has sat on the judging panels for whisky competitions and is one of few whisky writers to hold the IBD General Certificate in Distilling.
