An Islay single malt from North Star Spirits, dubbed Chaos after the star of the same name, though it tastes like anything but chaotic! This whisky is a vatting of three Caol Ila casks. Two 2010 vintage Pedro Ximénez casks and a single 2009 vintage ex Bourbon Hogshead. Bottled at 50% abv with a release of only 1200 bottles for the entire world to enjoy.
North Star Spirits is an independent bottler based in Glasgow, Scotland. They pride themselves on bottling the finest single malt Scotch whisky, blended whisky and blended malt Scotch whisky. Producing artisan single cask whisky from various regions of Scotland as well as bottling rums, gins and Bourbon whiskey. All products are small batch, bottled at cask strength.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Orange marmalade, Indian spices, toasted oak, pickled ginger and peat smoke.
Palate: Creamy vanilla fudge, orange citrus, bold peat smoke, praline and orchard fruits.
Finish: Orange oils, orchard fruits, smouldering oak and char.
