The Glenrothes Distillery is an award winning Speyside Single Malt Whisky of exceptional quality. A combination of many factors including unusually slow distillation process in tall copper pot stills deliver a characteristic sweet, fruity and elegant spirit. Each expression has its own unique personality, underpinned by the distinctive, hallmark characteristics of the distillery – ripe fruits, citrus, vanilla and an exquisite spicy finish all encased in the creamiest of textures and with a complex and well-poised balance.
North Star Spirits is an independent bottler based in Glasgow, Scotland. They pride themselves on bottling the finest single malt Scotch whisky, blended whisky and blended malt Scotch whisky. Producing artisan single cask whisky from various regions of Scotland as well as bottling rums, gins and Bourbon whiskey. All products are small batch, bottled at cask strength.
This North Star bottling was distilled at the Glenrothes Distillery in January 2008. It was matured for twelve years in a 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Hogshead. Bottled as part of the Cask Series 012 only 323 bottles were produced with a much smaller amount making it to Australia. Bottled at 62.2% abv.
