Isle of Arran Distillery Virtual Tasting Event – Age Of Distinction

The Arran distillery opened in 1995, considered a new distillery in Scottish distilling terms. We are now celebrating the release of a 25 year old single malt whisky from some of the oldest whisky laid down at the distillery. Not only will we be sampling some of the Arran aged statement whiskies we will also be sampling the rare batch bottlings. The Rare Batch Argonne has been talked about as one of the best Arran expressions ever and the Arran French oak Bordeaux is certainly one to remember. These expressions are limited to bars and restaurants only in Australia so this will be a unique experience.
Craig Merson is the Director of The Whisky Company, a retailer, wholesaler and importer of single malt whisky from around the world. Craig and his wife are from the West Cost of Scotland and live and breath all things Isle of Arran. In this tasting class Craig will take you through six single malt Scotch whiskies produced at the Isle of Arran Distillery and explain a brief history of the Island, the Distillery and the whiskies we have on tasting. The whiskies we will be tasting with Craig are all whiskies that have been aged for a specific amount of time in high quality hand selected oak barrels. Each whisky unique to the distillery.
