This whisky is so rich in malt content that many people think of it as a single malt whisky. Aged for 12 years in ex- bourbon, ex-sherry and ex-wine casks and bottled at 40% abv.
This product gained a gold medal from Monde in 2000.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: All the lovely Ben Nevis notes we expected toffee, caramels, barley, smoke and oak.
Taste: Caramel sweetness combines with a rich malty full bodied mouthfeel. There’s malt, there’s sweetness and there’s smoke.
Finish: More smoke and sweetness with a little spice.
