This rare whisky from the Rest & Be Thankful Range is a wonderful, heavily- peated Octomore produced at the Bruichladdich Distillery. The spirit was filled into casks that previously stored Tempranillo Sherry. Then left to sleep for 6 years before being bottled straight from the cask. No chill-filtration and colouring.
An extremely smokey and intense Islay malt with sensational dry fruit and spices.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Red fruits dominate followed by smoked kippers and smouldering bonfires.
Palate: Quite floral, red berries, strawberries and raspberries mostly. Nutmeg, cloves and star anise. Bonfire embers, smoked meats.
Finish: More bonfire embers, vanilla and malted barely.
