In 2016 Iain Croucher began North Star Spirits in Glasgow after working for the independent bottler AD Rattray. North Start has since bottled a wide variety of both Single Malt and Blended Scotch Whisky including some American whiskies too. The brand is named after the star ‘Polaris’ – the current Northern pole star. The theme of astronomy continues with various releases being named after other stars in the universe including ‘Vega’ and ‘Sirius’. The bottler was awarded ‘Independent Bottler of the Year’ at the Scottish Whisky Awards in 2020.

This whisky features an aromatic, peaty characteristic. North Star aged this spirit for 7 years, with some time spent finishing in ex-PX barrels for a rich finish. Aged 7 years, 1 of 150 bottles. Bottled at 53.7% abv.
