For those of you that are fans of WPBH editions, I can tell you simply without getting into the nose, initial teak burst and clove after glow that this issue is absolutely remarkable. I have had the other BH issues and Magellan’s Atlantic is top pig! If you have been on the fence about a high dollar bottle this is the rendition to break the piggy bank for.

The Magellan Atlantic version of Whistle Pig Boss Hogg is simply amazing. It remains a robust rye while providing a mellow taste that is not overwhelming. it is sweet yet you still know you are drinking whiskey. The tasting notes are all there but the bottom line is it is a wonderful pour. I am a big rye old fashioned fan. However, I would not mix this with anything else. Neat is just marvelous. I highly recommend this to rye lovers who want something that is smooth with just the right bite.
