A 2005 Williamson Islay blended malt from indie bottler The Vintage Malt Whisky Company, matured in a single bourbon cask for 12 years, before being bottled in 2018 as part of its Cooper’s Choice series. Aromas of savoury peat smoke, damp seaweed and antiseptic fill the nose, complemented by notes of sweet malt, citrus, ginger, tar and heavy smoke throughout the palate.
